Stolen Wedding Ring of Ex-Philippine Leader From Pawnshop

MANILA --The Philippines police have recovered from a pawnshop a golden ring given by former Philippines president Corazon Aquino to her late husband on their wedding day, the ***Philippine Star ***newspaper reported Wednesday. The wedding band had been stolen from a Memorial Museum of Aquino's late husband, former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino in the northern province of Tarlac last month, the ***Star ***said, quoting police. Police said the ring had been pawned for 1,800 pesos (about 35 dollars), it added. No arrests were reported although police suspect a former security guard at museum for carrying out the theft. He has since gone missing , AFP reported.
